Conference "Cellular Mechanisms of Sensory Processing" - Göttingen, October 8-9, 2012

Dear colleagues and students,

we are pleased to announce that we will have a conference this fall entitled "Cellular Mechanisms of Sensory Processing" (http://www.sensoryprocessingworkshop.uni-goettingen.de).  It will take place Oct. 8-9th, 2012 at the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine in Göttingen, Germany.  We are delighted as the local organizers to welcome a truly impressive group of internationally respected scientists working on various aspects of sensory processing mechanisms, ranging from transduction to sensory coding and sensory-motor integration. The conference will be jointly organized by the two Collaborative Research Centers "Assembly and Function of Neuronal Circuits in Sensory Processing" (SFB870, Munich) and "Cellular Mechanisms of Sensory Processing" (SFB889, Göttingen).

We kindly ask that you register (http://www.sensoryprocessingworkshop.uni-goettingen.de/Registration.html) by August 1st. Late registration is possible on an individual basis. Posters and applications for short talks are also welcome, which can be noted as part of the registration.

We look forward to welcoming you all at the conference.  We expect to have exciting discussions and a enjoyable time in Göttingen where we hope to showcase this exciting and fast moving research area.

Kind regards,

The organizing committee
